Stuck in DSC with a dead battery – any quick jump start services?
So I drove to Dubai Sports City this morning for my son's football training session and when I came back out to the car after an hour, absolutely nothing. No dashboard lights, no click, just complete silence when I turned the key. I left the interior light on by accident which I only realized when I saw it was still glowing dimly through the window, completely drained the battery. I asked around the parking lot if anyone had jumper cables but everyone seemed to be in a rush to leave and nobody stopped. I called my wife to come rescue me but she's all the way in JLT and with this traffic it'll take her at least 45 minutes just to get here. I was about to call a taxi and deal with it later when a guy walking by told me there are services that come directly to your location for this exact situation. I've seen vans around with battery boosters but never actually used one. Has anyone tried these professional jump start companies and do they actually arrive quickly? I'm sitting here in the heat with two hungry kids and honestly I just want to get home as soon as possible. I looked online and found you can book a professional car jump start in Dubai Sports City through a few different companies but I'm not sure which one to trust with the little time I have. Do they usually charge a flat fee or is it per kilometer? Also do they check if the battery is completely dead versus just needing a quick boost? I'd hate to pay for a service only to find out my battery needs replacing anyway. If anyone has used a jump start service around DSC or the surrounding areas please share your experience – response time, cost, and whether they were professional. I'm stuck here with two bored kids and a dead car so any advice would be massively appreciated right now.
