So I'm pretty sure my battery is about to give up on me because the last few mornings it's been taking way longer to crank and the dashboard lights flicker a bit when I first turn the key. I drive a 2017 Altima and I've been putting this off for a while but with summer fully here now I know I can't risk getting stranded somewhere. I'm currently sitting on the side of the road in some industrial area that I don't even recognize and I'm starting to panic a little bit. I was driving back from a supplier meeting and everything was fine, then suddenly my engine started making this weird rattling noise and smoke started coming out from under the hood. I pulled over immediately and turned off the engine but now I'm scared to even try starting it again in case I do more damage. I don't know anyone around here and I have no idea where the nearest garage is. So I drove to Dubai Sports City this morning for my son's football training session and when I came back out to the car after an hour, absolutely nothing. No dashboard lights, no click, just complete silence when I turned the key. I left the interior light on by accident which I only realized when I saw it was still glowing dimly through the window, completely drained the battery. I asked around the parking lot if anyone had jumper cables but everyone seemed to be in a rush to leave and nobody stopped.
